| October 2025 Quilt Sampler Block - Road to Oklahoma
 The October 2025 Quilt Sampler Block is named Road to Oklahoma. This simple but beautiful block is made with Half-Square Triangles and squares. The tutorial for Half-Square triangles is here. If you need help making any other quilt block components, check out my full Quilt Block Tutorial Library.
If you use fabrics which we can identify as having been purchased from Charmed Needles at any time, you make at least a 12" block, and you finish it by October 31, I will give you $3.75 in store credit. That is the average price of my Fat Quarters, so you essentially get a free Fat Quarter if you make the block!
There is no charge for this program, and there is no commitment for you to do every single block. Make the blocks you want to make and have time to make, then bring your finished block into the shop, email me a picture of it, or send me a Facebook message with a picture.

 Introducing Jingle Bell Pines, a delightful holiday-themed quilt project that brings together the magic of winter and the warmth of Christmas cocoa!
Let's stitch together some holiday cheer! The Jingle Bell Pines Block of the Month includes 9 festive blocks with 2 setting blocks. Designed by Kate Colleran and Kris Poor, this holiday-themed quilt is suitable for advanced beginners to intermediates, and with determination, it's great for beginners who want to step up their game! It uses traditional piecing techniques - half square triangles, quarter square triangles, flying geese, and stitch n' flip. Includes a bonus pillow pattern featuring the tree farm truck! So cozy!
This 12-Month Block of the Month Program will be held at 11 am on the First Saturday of each month, from November 2025 - October 2026. Bring your sewing machine and make your block in the shop each month. If you prefer to simply purchase your monthly kit and make it at home, that's ok, too!
Each month, you will get the pattern pages and enough fabric to make that month's block. Be sure to save any leftover pieces from these strips, as you may need to use them in future months. In October 2026, not only will you receive the fabric for the borders and binding, but also you will receive the fabric for the binding and the backing of your quilt. In total, with all the monthly kits, you will receive nearly 12 yards of fabric.
This is a traditional BOM program, in which you will pay the initial $6.20 registration fee to save your place in the class, then $17.22 for your kit each month. If you are not in the area, you will need to pay the monthly shipping cost for your kit, too.
Because nobody is perfect, you can also purchase an optional Oops Bundle of 5 Fat Eighths and 4 Fat Quarters for $24.84 to have on hand to fix any "Oops" you make.

Ongoing Block of the Month Programs
Both Dazzle and Allure Block of the Month programs have already started, but there is still room for additional participants in each of them. You will need to contact me directly, if you wish to sign up, as I will have to manually override my system which thinks it should close registrations after the first class date.

Emergency Home Repairs May Mean the Shop Could Be Closed on Occasion
On Sunday, June 8, a car slammed into our home, severely damaging two rooms. Repairs have finally started and will hopefully be finished soon, but I don't know exactly when I may need to be closed on so that I can be home with contractors, insurance adjusters, etc.
If you desperately need to purchase something on a day we are closed, please call the shop phone. I will forward all those calls to my cell phone, and since the house is only 1 mile away from the shop, I can get there quickly.
We don't know how many weeks it will take to get our repairs done, just that it will be several. We appreciate your patience while we deal with insurance, contractors, and everything else to repair our home.

Upcoming Spring Shop Hops!
It's time to start planning your Spring Road Trips to go Shop Hopping! We participate in two Shop Hops each Spring!

The Second Annual All Pacific Northwest Shop Hop will be April 1 to May 31, 2026, and will have nearly 100 participating shops all over Oregon, Washington, and Idaho! If it sounds like a lot, don't worry, there are several tiers of prizes available for making it to various numbers of the shops, so it is still very manageable.
- The 24th Annual Treasure Shop Hop will be April 23 to May 2, 2026. This year, in celebration of the 250th Anniversary of the founding of the USA, our theme is America 250. We will have nine participating shops along the I-84 Corridor, from La Grande, Oregon, to Mountain Home, Idaho.

Want to stitch and socialize? Have a brief question on any technique? Bring any fiber arts project and come down to the shop to work on it. Open Stitch is every Friday during business hours.
The third Friday of most months, we extend Open Stitch late into the night, and we call it Quilt Till You Wilt. We will stay until the last person leaves. Bring one or several fiber arts projects and come socialize through the night. Feel free to bring food to share, as well.

Join us the Second Tuesday of each month to make lace! All types of lace: Bobbin Lace, Tatted Lace (both Shuttle and Needle), Knitted Lace, and Crocheted Lace. All skill levels are welcome, we usually have some skilled lace-makers here who are willing to teach beginners. There is no charge for this social lace-making event.
