| January 2026 Quilt Sampler Block - Mosaic No. 2
 The January 2026 Quilt Sampler Block is named Mosaic No. 2. This block is made with a center pinwheel made from Half-Square Triangles, then border rectangles, and then 2 layers of Flip-and-Fold Corners. If you use fabrics which we can identify as having been purchased from Charmed Needles at any time, you make at least a 12" block, and you finish it by January 31, I will give you $3.75 in store credit. That is the average price of my Fat Quarters, so you essentially get a free Fat Quarter if you make the block!
There is no charge for this program, and there is no commitment for you to do every single block. Make the blocks you want to make and have time to make, then bring your finished block into the shop, email me a picture of it, or send me a Facebook message with a picture.

 This 9 month block of the month sparkles! Featuring Mystique, a new fabric collection by Dan Morris for QT Fabrics, Pine Tree Country Quilts has designed a beautiful new quilt for the Competent Beginner.
This 9-Month Block of the Month Program will be held at 11 am on the First Saturday of each month, from April 2026 - December 2026. Bring your sewing machine and make your block in the shop each month. If you prefer to simply purchase your monthly kit and make it at home, that's ok, too!
Each month, you will get the pattern pages and enough fabric to make that month's block. Be sure to save any leftover pieces from these strips, as you may need to use them in future months. In December 2026, not only will you receive the fabric for the last block, but also you will receive the fabric for the binding and the backing of your quilt. In total, with all the monthly kits, you will receive nearly 16 yards of fabric. This quilt can be made with your standard rulers you already own, or you can purchase an optional pack of four Studio 180 Design rulers for $140.50. Instructions are included in the pattern for making this quilt both ways.
This is a traditional BOM program, in which you will pay the initial $8.97 registration fee to save your place in the class, then $33.20 for your kit each month. If you are not in the area, you will need to pay the monthly shipping cost for your kit, too.
Because nobody is perfect, you can also purchase an optional Oops Bundle of 5 Fat Quarters and 13 Fat Eighths for $47.36 to have on hand to fix any "Oops" you make.

Upcoming Spring Shop Hops!
It's time to start planning your Spring Road Trips to go Shop Hopping! We participate in two Shop Hops each Spring!

The Second Annual All Pacific Northwest Shop Hop will be April 1 to May 31, 2026, and will have 124 participating shops all over Oregon, Washington, and Idaho! If it sounds like a lot, don't worry, there are several tiers of prizes available for making it to various numbers of the shops, so it is still very manageable. The more shops you get to, the better the prizes you will be eligible to win!

 Pre-Purchase your 2026 All Pacific Northwest Shop Hop Magazine NOW! This magazine contains the Passport, maps, information about all the participating shops, and five patterns. Pre-purchase the magazine, and we will ship it to you as soon as we receive them in mid-February!
- The 24th Annual Treasure Shop Hop will be April 23 to May 2, 2026. This year, in celebration of the 250th Anniversary of the founding of the USA, our theme is America 250. We will have nine participating shops along the I-84 Corridor, from La Grande, Oregon, to Mountain Home, Idaho. We will start pre-selling the passports for this Shop Hop on April 16.

Ongoing Block of the Month Programs
Dazzle and Jingle Bell Pines Block of the Month programs have already started, but there is still room for additional participants in each of them. You will need to contact me directly, if you wish to sign up, as I will have to manually override my system which thinks it should close registrations after the first class date.

Want to stitch and socialize? Have a brief question on any technique? Bring any fiber arts project and come down to the shop to work on it. Open Stitch is every Friday during business hours.
The third Friday of most months, we extend Open Stitch late into the night, and we call it Quilt Till You Wilt. We will stay until the last person leaves. Bring one or several fiber arts projects and come socialize through the night. Feel free to bring food to share, as well.

Join us the Second Tuesday of each month to make lace! All types of lace: Bobbin Lace, Tatted Lace (both Shuttle and Needle), Knitted Lace, and Crocheted Lace. All skill levels are welcome, we usually have some skilled lace-makers here who are willing to teach beginners. There is no charge for this social lace-making event.
