Eleventh in the "Victorian Garden" Series.  What fun I had designing my little imaginary Gingerbread garden! Stitched on a Gingerbread coloured linen, using delectable silk flosses, overdyed silks, sparkling gold metallics and multicoloured beads for candies, this delightful garden sampler is a vibrant addition to the Gingerbread series. As you walk into this garden at the bottom of the sampler, a jaunty snowman made of icing sugar is watching over the gingerbread birdhouse, where tiny cardinals are feeding. Sweet icing sugar snow covers everything! Further on, a row of Gingerbread boys and girls are dancing amid the candy canes and delectable candy flower beds! At the top of the garden, a delicious and fragrant Gingerbread house dripping with icing sugar snow, glowing windows, and lots of decorative candies welcomes the hungry visitor. This yummy Learning Sampler is perfect for the beginning through intermediate specialty stitcher. You will practice some lovely specialty stitches such as Four-sided Pulled Stitches, Half Rhodes, Sheaf Stitch, Satin, Drawn Thread with hemstitching, Backstitches, French Knots, Cross Stitch over one fabric thread, Kloster Blocks, and Plait Stitches.
