Sheila, mother to Rachel Cross, established Creative Grids in the UK in 1989. These unique rulers included black and white lines for enhanced visibility and opaque, non-slip gripper dots. Business really took off when Rachel took over as lead designer and developed the next generation of rulers, with help from her husband Matthew, that included the patented Turn-a-Round feature found on the rectangular and square rulers.
